Original price was: $690.84.Current price is: $172.71.

Description

The Armstrong International 75A3 is a Series A Cast Iron Float & Thermostatic (F&T) Steam Trap engineered for dependable, continuous condensate discharge in a wide range of steam heating and process applications. With a standard 3/4″ NPT connection and a maximum allowable pressure of 75 PSI, this trap is built to handle demanding commercial and industrial steam systems with ease.

Key Features
  • Series A cast iron body construction for long-lasting durability in steam service
  • 3/4″ NPT standard connection for straightforward installation and compatibility with common piping configurations
  • 75 PSI maximum working pressure rating
  • 11/64″ orifice for precise, efficient condensate flow control
  • Integrated thermostatic air vent automatically purges non-condensable gases and air, improving system efficiency and reducing water hammer
  • Float & thermostatic design provides continuous, modulating condensate discharge — no slugging or steam loss
  • Suitable for steam heating coils, unit heaters, heat exchangers, and similar HVAC and process equipment
How Float & Thermostatic Traps Work

The F&T trap uses a float mechanism that rises and falls with condensate level, opening the discharge valve continuously as condensate accumulates. The separate thermostatic element responds to temperature differences between steam and sub-cooled condensate, ensuring air and non-condensable gases are vented at startup and during operation. This dual-action design eliminates air binding, reduces energy waste, and protects downstream equipment.
